Isolation Wards in KMC ready to use

The Kathmandu Metropolitan City has said that isolation wards and quarantines have been kept in ready-to-use condition following the increasing number of COVID-19 patients in recent period.

The isolation wards and quarantines, operated free of cost during first and second phase of the COVID pandemic have been kept ready to use, said KMC Mayor Bidhya Sundar Shakya.

He shared, "We held discussion with Home Minister, different hospitals and Nepali Army for the same. We have asked the Nepali Army and hospital to be ready in case of the third wave. And we are also prepared."

Mayor Shakya urged the COVID Crisis Management Centre (CCMC) to move ahead coordinating and collaborating with local government. People in the valley have been urged to contact health clinics at all 32 wards and Health Department if they face health complications.

They have also requested all to get vaccinated as the KMC has made arrangements for third dose of vaccine against COVID-19 to all eligible groups including frontline workers.
