Chairman of the main opposition party CPN (UML) and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli have said that people's distrust towards the government has increased.

He made this claim while participating in the discussion on the policies and programs of the next financial year submitted by the government to the Federal Parliament on Sunday.

President Oli said that the country's economy is in a state of crisis and despite the increase in abnormal activities in the social and cultural sectors, the government has not been able to bring policies and programs accordingly.

He reiterated that the government has reached a situation where it is unable to manage mandatory expenses such as salaries, pensions, social security expenses, etc.

He said, "In fact, people's distrust towards the government has decreased in an unprecedented manner." Mistrust has increased in an unprecedented manner. People are disappointed. Unnatural activities are increasing in social and cultural fields. Major economic indicators have shown that the economy is in danger. The government has failed to collect revenue. The government has reached a situation where the revenue cannot even meet the obligations of managing the mandatory expenses including salaries, pensions, and social security allowances.

President Oli also objected that the government has not been able to include the good works of the previous government in the policies and programs.
