167 centers for agricultural census in Tanahu

There are 167 counting centers in Tanahu for the national agricultural census.

The national agricultural census, which is being conducted every 10 years, is being conducted this year as well.

Tanahu District Agriculture Census Officer Nawaraj Pokhrel informed that a census center has been set up for the national agricultural census to be conducted in a period of 45 days from April 22 to May 30. According to him, 167 centers have been identified in 10 municipalities including four municipalities and six village municipalities of Tanahu.

After the selection of about four thousand one hundred and seventy-five farming families in the area, the census will be carried out. According to him, 20 centers have been established in Bhanu municipality, 18 in Vyas, 18 in Shukla and 17 in Bhimad. Similarly, there are 16 centers in Myagde, 15 in Ghiring, 18 in Rishing, 16 in Devghat, 15 in Bandipur and 14 in Aabukhaireni.

He said that after providing training to enumerators and supervisors they will be sent to the field for data collection. In the first phase, the enumerators will reach the doorsteps of each person in the enumeration area and list the farming families who have fulfilled the prescribed minimum criteria.

Similarly, in the second phase, farmers' data will be collected through farmer family questionnaire form by enumerators who have reached an average of 25 farmer families selected by the supervisor through certain statistical selection method. The farmer will collect details related to various subjects including land and livestock rearing, other farming, environment, et cetera.
