22 killed in wild animal attacks in Chitwan

Twenty-two people who went to the Chitwan National Park and surrounding areas to collect firewood and for cattle grazing have died in an attack by wild animals.

 During the current fiscal year, there have been many instances of wild animals attacking residents that have resulted in death while they were working in the park security, going to collect firewood, going to worship, returning home after celebrating the festival, etc.

 According to the park's information officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari, most of the human casualties have been caused by tiger attacks in the current fiscal year. Thirteen people have been killed in tiger attacks. 

Twelve people were killed in wild animal attacks in the last fiscal year. Of those, four died in rhino attacks, four in tiger attacks, two in wild elephant attacks, one in gauri cows and one in bundel attacks, according to the park.
