48 political parties registered for election

 48 political parties have registered a closed list of candidates for the proportional election system.

The Election Commission has informed that only 48 parties have registered the closed list of candidates out of 68 parties.

The proportional number in the House of Representatives is 110. The commission had fixed the schedule of Sunday and Monday for registering the closed list of proportional candidates.

A closed list has also been registered for members of the provincial assembly on Monday and Tuesday.

According to the Commission, 36 parties in Province 1, 36 in Madhesh, 40 in Bagmati, 31 in Gandaki, 32 in Lumbini, 28 in Karnali, and 34 in Far West have registered the closed list.
