Prakash Dhimal of Damak, Jhapa has been arrested by the police on charges of being involved in human trafficking. Based on the victim's complaint, the police arrested Dhimal from Kathmandu Chabahil.
It came to light during the preliminary investigation that Dhimal, who works as a manpower agent, took 3/4 of the women to Kuwait on a visit visa and sold them for 900 Kuwaiti dinars.
The victims were subjected to labor exploitation by making them work for 10 hours a day. When the victim went to the local hospital for treatment, she was rescued and brought back to Nepal after coming in contact with the Nepali embassy in Kuwait.
The police are investigating further in this regard.
