In the local level election, Nagesh Koirala of the Nepali Congress has maintained his lead in the major post of Biratnagar Metropolitan City.
According to the latest results, Koirala got 9,000 votes and his rival Sagar Thapa got 6,667 votes.
Similarly, Shilpa Karki of CPN-UML got 7,646 votes, Amarendra Yadav of Janata Samajwadi Party of Nepal got 4,844 votes, and Binda Kumari Luintel Acharya of RPP got 2,302 votes and independent candidate Namita Neupane got 1,669 votes.
The results of six wards were made public.
Similarly, CPN-UML's Kazi Bahadur Basnet has won the post of ward chairman in ward no. 1 of Biratnagar Metropolitan City by getting 1,900 votes. His nearest rival Rajan Neupane of the Nepali Congress polled 1,591 votes.
Kumar Pokhrel of CPN-UML has secured 1,312 votes in ward no. 2 while his rival Pawan Kumar Surana of RPP has secured 1,269 votes.
In ward no. 13, Uddhav Bhujel of Nepali Congress won the post of ward chairman by getting 752 votes while his rival Kumar Maharjan of CPN-UML got 685 votes.
In Ward No. 17, Samir Kamar of Janata Samajwadi Party of Nepal has won the post of ward chairman by getting 1,450 votes while his rival Aslam Alam of Nepali Congress got 944 votes.
In ward no. 18, independent candidate Jitendra Kumar Sah secured 616 votes while his rival Dinesh Kumar Yadav of Janata Samajwadi Party Nepal has secured 624 votes.
In ward no. 19, Shyam Ghimire of CPN-UML won the post of ward chairman by getting 987 votes while Uday Rajbanshi of Nepali Congress got 905 votes.
