China to provide two million COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal

Health officials in China say six more people have become ill with COVID-19 in a southwestern Chinese city.

China will donate two million COVID-19 vaccines to Nepal.

The Chinese Foreign Minister (FM) Wang Yi has expressed his commitment to grant COVID-19 vaccine today in a telephone conversation held between Minister for Foreign Affairs, Narayan Khadka, and him.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Chinese Foreign Minister Yi has pledged an additional two million doses of the COVID vaccine. Khadka thanked State Councilor Yi for the announcement.

They had telephone conversations for almost one hour. And during that, they had discussed issues of mutual interest between the two countries. Likewise, they also discussed border management, Tatopani and Rasuwagadhi checkpoint, and air connectivity contact, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
