CM Shah meets with Ambassador of EU delegation

Chief Minister of Sudurpaschim Province, Kamal Bahadur Shah, has urged the delegation of the European Union to Nepal to help in the promotion of the energy sector.

During the meeting with the delegation at the Office of the Chief Minister and Council of Ministers in Dhangadhi today, discussion was held on the issues of hydropower promotion as well as development of the health and education sector, said CM Shah's Personal Secretary, Dhirendra Shahi.

They also discussed the issue of providing support in policy making. Ambassadors of EU-member countries Germany, Finland and France were also in the delegation led by EU Ambassador to Nepal, Nona Deprez.

The delegation has returned to Dhangadhi after visiting different districts including Dadeldhura and Doti of Sudurpaschim Province. A hospital is under construction in Dadeldhura with the financial support of the government of Germany.

The delegation held discussion with medical superintendent of Seti-Provincial Hospital, Dr Hemraj Pandey and Hospital Chairperson Nirmal Shah, in the course of visiting the hospital on Monday.

Similarly, the delegation also met with deputy-mayor of Dhangadhi sub-metropolis, Kandakala Rana Tharu, and discussed the possible support in development of the sub-metropolitan city.

Different projects are in operation in Sudurpaschim province with the support of EU-member countries.
