The construction work of the garbage management center in Shuklaphanta Municipality is going to be accelerated with the concessional loan assistance of the Asian Development Bank.

The construction work of the garbage management center is set to move ahead after the government decided to give up forest land on Wednesday. The Ministry of Forest and Environment has decided to give usurpation of land in the community forest area for the construction of garbage management center, said Mayor Dil Bahadur Air.

"The work has been stalled for three years after the ministry gave approval for the construction of a waste management center on the community forest land," he said. Increases. ”

Despite the decision of the community forest to provide land for the construction of the center, the Division Forest Office had been obstructing the construction of the waste management center until the land tenure from the Government of Nepal. Only the decision of the meeting of the Council of Ministers to get the land tenure would be legal but the construction activities were not allowed to take place saying that the municipality has not got such legal status. Soil testing and preliminary environmental testing and environmental impact assessment have already been done for the construction of the center.
