Courts to close across the country on Sunday

Courts across the country will close on Sunday to mourn the death of former Chief Justice Mohan Prasad Sharma who passed away on Wednesday afternoon.

An emergency plenary session of the Supreme Court on Saturday passed condolence to his family and decided to dismiss the courts across the country on Sunday to honor him.

Former Chief Justice Sharma joined the government service in 2016. He was the Chief Justice from 13 April 2018 to 16 December 2019. The Supreme Court has remarked that his demise is a great loss.
