The Samata Foundation has demanded the implementation of the Supreme Court's order for the effective implementation of the constitutional provision on the rights of the Dalit community. The court on Tuesday issued an order in the name of the Federal Parliament Secretariat and the government to make necessary arrangements to ensure the rights of dalits within three months. The foundation has issued a statement today appealing to the government, social organizations, the general justice-loving community and journalists for a special initiative to enforce the court order.

"The directive order issued in the name of the government has made the entire Dalit community optimistic, highlighting the fact that the government and government structures, including the Dalit Commission, are indifferent to the effective implementation of the rights guaranteed in Articles 24 and 40 of the constitution," the statement said.

Advocate Prakash Nepali had filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court demanding the implementation of the rights of Dalits mentioned in Articles 24 and 40 of the Constitution.
