Driver arrested for trying to bribe police personnel in Sindhuli

Sindhuli police arrested a man on charge of trying to bribe an on-duty policeman at a check post in Golanjar Rural Municipality-7.

The arrested has been identified as Sahudan Rai (45), a resident of Mahakulung Rural Municipality-5 in Solukhumbhu.

Rai was driving a vehicle with registration number NA 1 JA 3566 and heading towards Kathmandu from Solu. He had offered Rs 500 as a bribe to the security personnel at Khurkot check post. He was immediately arrested on Monday night.

Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, informed the police.
