Those who seek relief by documenting the damage caused by the floods and landslides will be investigated and actions will be taken. The District Administration Office issued a notice on Saturday stating that those who ask for relief despite their houses not being damaged due to the landslide, will be investigated upon by the ward office and the police.

District Administration Office has been distributing relief to the families whose homes were completely damaged in the floods and landslides on the basis of documents including land title deeds, recommendations of the ward office, police reports, and photo of the damage caused by the floods. There were complaints of irregularities in the relief distributed by the government for flood victims through the Disaster Management Fund.

The list of relief recipients released by the District Administration Office on Tuesday evening had more names of fake victims than real ones. The real victims were found on the list of those who have received relief from the administration although they have not received any relief so far.
