President Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed the belief that the cultural and historical festival of Kumari Indrajatra celebrated by the Newar community of Kathmandu Valley would help strengthen the national unity by deepening the spirit of mutual trust, harmony, tolerance, and cooperation among Nepalis of different castes, languages, cultures, and regions.

Extending best wishes on the occasion of Kumari Indrajatra in a message today, she has wished happiness, peace, prosperity, and good health to all Nepali brothers and sisters at home and abroad. She has stressed the need to pass on our glorious civilization to future generations by preserving the age-old festivals like Kumari Indrajatra, which are living examples of the rich history and tradition of the country.

The President has also called upon all concerned to observe the festivals carefully following the public health norms to avoid the COVID-19.
