In today's meeting of the House of Representatives, Nepali Congress MP Tej Lal Chaudhary has demanded to set up a hospital in Lumbini and the far west to control the sickle cell epilepsy that affects only Tharu.

MP Chaudhary also urged the government to make appointments on the basis of inclusiveness. CPN (UML) MP Vijay Subba said that the decision to put embossed number plates on vehicles would end the Nepali language. He expressed concern that the government was being influenced by some vested interest group to commit such wrongdoing.

CPN (Maoist Center) MP Suresh Chandra Das said that most of the budget of the country has been allocated for urban areas but federal budget has not been allocated to provide basic facilities to the people living in overcrowded villages.
