The Medical Education Commission has published the schedule for the joint entrance examination for graduate studies of various medical subjects. According to the commission, the examinations will be held on July 24-28.

The Medical Education Commission published the schedule for the examination after it received a go-ahead from COVID-19 Crisis Management Centre (CCMC).

On June 22, the commission had issued a notice asking all students who will be sitting for their joint entrance examination for graduate studies of various medical subjects to select an examination centre that is suitable for them.

The notice had also mentioned that due to the danger posed by the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in the country the commission will conduct the entrance examinations in centres outside Kathmandu valley too.

The commission in its notice has mentioned that applicants from foreign countries and also students who have not selected their centre will have to sit for the examinations in Kathmandu. It has also stated that foreign students will have to mandatorily stay in seven-day quarantine before the examinations and all students who participate in the entrance examination must follow the necessary health safety measures.

The details of the centre will be printed on the admit card for the examinations which will be made available five days prior to the examination date. Students can print the admit cards by accessing the commission’s website.

The Medical Education Commission has said that this year a total of 32,800 students have filed applications for the joint entrance examination of various medical subjects. Meanwhile, 11,300 students have filed applications to study MBBS.
