Karnali govt to provide relief and rehabilitate Gamgadhi fire victims

Chief Minister (CM)of Karnali province, Jiban Bahadur Shahi has said that the Gamgadhi fire victims will be provided relief along with rehabilitation. Issuing a press statement today, CM shahi said "the provincial government has drawn attention to the fire incident that broke out at Chayanath Municipality-1 at Gamgadhi Bazar".

The fire that took place from 12 pm on Monday night was brought under control with the efforts of the Nepali Army, Armed Police Force, Nepal Police in coordination with locals after four hours. The fire has destroyed properties worth billions. As many as 21 houses have been gutted in the fire.

CM has expressed gratitude towards security bodies and locals for their effort to bring the fire under control as well as and has directed the local administration to manage immediate relief. In the statement, the local administration has begun collecting the details and will announce the relief on the basis of recommendation, reads the statement.
