Lumbini Province Non-Departmental Minister Krishna KC has resigned from the post. Expressing his dissatisfaction with the selection of the ministry, he resigned from Chief Minister Leela Giri today.

On January 28, KC was sworn in as a non-departmental minister.

Chief Minister Leela Giri has prepared to expand the cabinet on Sunday, according to her private secretariat. Chetnarayan Acharya, minister, and spokesperson of the government said that the resignation of KC, who became a non-departmental minister on behalf of the CPN (Maoist Centre), was not due to dissatisfaction with the government. He said, "Minister KC's resignation may be a problem within his party, not a disagreement with the government."

Chief Minister Giri was appointed as Chief Minister on January 27. He received the vote of confidence in the provincial assembly on January 5th.
