National Assembly session prorogued

President Bidhya Devi Bhandari has prorogued the ongoing session of the National Assembly to be effective from today midnight. The session was prorogued on the recommendation of the Council of Ministers.

The second annual report of the ‘National Natural Resources and Fiscal Commission, 2076-077 BS,’ was presented at the National Assembly (NA) session today.

Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Lilanath Shrestha, on behalf of the Prime Minister, had tabled the report. Moreover, Legislative Management Committee member Devendra Dahal, on behalf of Committee President Parshuram Meghi Gurung presented the Committee’s report about Yogamaya Ayurveda University Bill, 2076 BS.

The NA's current session that began on July 1 had ended with a schedule to meet again.
