A fight was started between two groups over voting issues of the Nepali Congress' State 2 Committee. Presidential candidate Krishna Yadav and Ram Saroj Yadav got into a quarrel that escalated into a brawl.
The conflict occurred after candidate Krishna Yadav said that the election should be held on Wednesday and Vimalendra Nidhi's party candidate Ram Saroj Yadav urged the election to be postponed until Thursday.
Some Nepali Congress cadres were injured in the incident. The Election Committee had publicized the schedule for holding the election in Province 2 on Wednesday itself.
