Nepal Chamber urges govt to provide vaccines to businesses. Nepal Chamber of Commerce has issued a statement today urging the government to provide COVID vaccines to industrialists and other business people. It has mentioned that the global economy has been hit hard by the coronavirus pandemic and Nepal has not remained untouched. Moreover, since Nepal is a least developed country and has not been able to be self-reliant in many areas the virus has had a direct impact on the country’s economy, it added.

The second wave of the COVID-19 in Nepal has affected a majority of businesses has been impacted and most business persons have been terrified about how long this crisis is going to last. Nepal Chamber has further added that since the coronavirus vaccines have not been made available to business persons most of them are scared to open their businesses even if they are allowed to do so.

The chamber has urged the government to do the needful so as to boost the confidence of the business persons as the private sector is one of the main pillars of Nepal’s economy.
