Nepal’s Health Secretary Roshan Pokharel and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra signed the agreement in presence of Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada.

Nepalis who have received full doses of Covid-19 vaccines can easily enter India by showing the Covid-19 vaccination cards from now onwards.

The two countries signed a memorandum of understanding in Kathmandu on Tuesday, according to which the two countries have decided to open their border for the entry or exit of each others’ citizens if they show vaccination cards as it was allowed during the pre-Covid-19 time.

Nepal’s Health Secretary Roshan Pokharel and Indian Ambassador to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra signed the agreement in presence of Health Minister Birodh Khatiwada.

Previous to this, both Nepalis and Indians were facing difficulties to cross the open border as the neighbours had not recognised Covid-19 certificates of other countries.
