Senior litterateur Nilkantha Neupana will be honoured with the Dhawal Prize of the year 2077.
Likewise, Nirmal Shrestha, writer of Sanskritik Nagar Tansen: The Living Museum, is named for the ‘Dhawal Creation Prize 2077’.
A meeting of the Board of Directors of Dhawal Library held on Sunday decided to honour both of them with the prizes after the recommendations from the prize recommendation committee.
Established by the Dhawal Library in the Palpa district, the prizes come with prize money of Rs 25,000 each.
The prizes would be distributed on a function on February 19 to be organised on the occasion of Democracy Day, said General Secretary of the library, Rajesh Kumar Aryal.
Dhawal Library is the first library in the country which was established in 1983 BS. The library has been providing prizes to people from different sector every year.
