One killed, 23 injured in Jhapa bus accident

At least one person has been killed and 22 others injured in a road accident at Viring Bridge on the East-West Highway in Kankai Municipality-8.

The deceased has been identified as Utsav Poudel, 16, of Kankai-7. Of the injured, 11 are undergoing treatment at Birtamod-based B&C Hospital and 12 at Birtamod Hospital, Birtamod. Police said that further investigation is underway into the incident.
