Protection of all cultures imperative: Chair Nepal

Chairman of the CPN (Unified Socialist) Madhav Kumar Nepal has said diverse cultures and festivals have enriched Nepal's image in national and international arenas.

At a program organized by the Nepal Tamang Association affiliated to the party on the eve of the 2859th Sonam Lhosar festival here Thursday, Chairman Nepal viewed the festivals observed by different castes and cultures should be protected and promoted.

Also the former prime minister, Chairman Nepal argued that such festivals unite Nepali society and people. He extended best wishes to all Nepali brothers and sisters on this occasion.

The Chairman also reminded that Nepal's constitution has made provision on rights of the backward and marginalized people and communities for their mainstreaming.
