PWDs to be given special priority during elections

The district election office (DEO) here has made preparations to accord special priority to the people with disabilities and senior citizens for voting in the election of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly on Sunday.

According to Information Officer at DEO, Hem, the voting officer of 829 polling centers has begun managerial work, including meeting with political parties and setting up booths to hold the election in a free, fair, and safe atmosphere.

They had made arrangements to facilitate the PWDs and senior citizens. For the visually impaired, the election publicity materials are pasted at the voting center and assistants are managed.

The DEO Morang on Friday directed the voting officers and staff to monitor 50 polling centers under constituency 6 and conduct the election in a peaceful atmosphere.
