Three houses have been damaged due to floods and landslides in Galkot of Baglung district. In Hatiya Bazaar of Galkot Municipality-3, one house has been flooded and two houses are at high risk due to landslides, said Ward Chairman Ram Prasad Kandel.

According to Kandel, the Navjyoti Durga Basic School in the same ward is also at high risk due to the floods. Due to the incessant rain that had been falling since Tuesday evening, there was a sudden flood in the market at night. Chairman of Ward No. 2 Fam Bahadur Khatri informed that the municipality is trying to open the closed road. He said that the floods have flooded roads leading to health posts and market areas.

The landslide has completely damaged the drinking water sources of Koirabari, Charaundikhola and Deurali rivers. The landslide has also damaged the agricultural road connecting Tarakhola through Hatiya Majuwa in Galkot Municipality Ward No. 6 and the road from the municipality office to Dhale Peepal. Floods and landslides have also blocked rural roads. The blocked road has been reopened since this morning after the water receded.
