Six Local Levels in kavre COVID free

Two municipalities and four rural municipalities in the Kavre district have been freed from coronavirus infection. Other local levels in the district have also reported high recovery rates in the past few days.

Mandandeupur municipality, Namobuddha Municipality, Chauri deurali, Roshi, Temal, and Khanikhola rural municipalities have remained free from coronavirus for now. According to the District Covid-19 Crisis Management Center (DCCMC) Bhumlu and Mahabharat rural municipalities have one active case each. As many as 11 people have been infected whereas 22 have been freed of the infection in the past 24 hours.

Chauri deurali, Roshi, Temal and Khanikhola rural municipalities have remained coronavirus free for the past week. Among 74 active cases in the district, Banepa municipality has 26, Panchkhal 8, Dhulikhel 22, Panauti six, and Bethanchowk rural municipality has 10 people with coronavirus infection, according to the DCCMC.

Earlier, the recovery rate of coronavirus infection has surpassed the infection rate in the district as the data reveals. As many as 14,570 have been infected so far and 192 have succumbed to coronavirus in the district. As of now, 97.17 percent of the total infected ie 14,304 have been freed of the contagion.

Prohibitory order has been enforced in the district since May 3 following the onset of the second wave of COVID-19. Due to the rise in the trend of virus spread, eight local levels of the district had been sealed off on different dates in the past. The district administration had enforced ‘mix-lockdown’ for a few weeks until September 21.
