The Medical Education Commission has issued a notice asking all students who will be sitting for their joint entrance examination for graduate studies of various medical subjects to select an examination centre that is suitable for them. The commission will publish the list of centres that the students can select on June 24.

The notice has also mentioned that due to the danger posed by the second wave of the coronavirus pandemic in the country the commission will conduct the entrance examinations in centres outside Kathmandu valley too.

The commission has stated that all students who had submitted their applications as per a notice published on March 16 should select a centre of their choice through the online mechanism that the commission has set up. It has also said that the students need to select their centres from 10 am on June 23 to 5 pm on June 24.

The notice also says that students who have filed applications for different subjects need to log in through ‘check your status’ mode for each subject they have chosen and select a single centre for the entrance examinations of all the subjects they have chosen.

Meanwhile, the commission has mentioned that the centres will be finalised after taking into consideration the situation of the respective places and students will be notified about it. The examination centre will also be mentioned on the admit card of the examinations.

The Medical Education Commission has said that this year a total of 32,800 students have filed applications for the joint entrance examination of various medical subjects. Meanwhile, 11,300 students have filed applications to study MBBS.
