Syangja district hospital oxygen plant operation resumes

Syangja District Hospital has resumed operation of its oxygen plant which has a capacity of generating 15,000 liters of oxygen a day. As per the hospital medical superintendent Dr Ramesh Prasad Acharya it has produces 70 to 75 filled oxygen cylinders per day.

"The plant was set up around eight months ago had to close down due to lack of electricity. It resumed after electricity lines were expanded with the help of the Nepal Electricity Authority," said Chief District Officer Raju Prasad Poudel.

With this, the district will have enough supply of oxygen for patients especially COVID-19 infected ones, said Indra Bahadur Godar, chair of the hospital board of directors.
