Chief Commissioner of the Election Commission Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya has said that the election results of the entire municipality will be declared by May 19.

Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport today, he said that he has directed to make public the results of all the local level elections held on Friday by 50 percent on Tuesday.

He clarified that the commission will make arrangements as per the demand for mobilization of maximum manpower at the polling station, security arrangements and necessary arrangements for that.

Thapaliya stressed on the need to increase the counting process by mobilizing civil servants, state government or local body employees at the polling stations and forming as many teams as possible.

He said that the commission was working hard to inform the people about the announcement of peaceful, free and fair elections in 77 districts. He also mentioned that the commission would play a facilitating role in resolving minor errors in the ballot papers between the party representatives and the enumerators at the polling stations.

"The security apparatus at the polling station is in good condition. We have been assured by the security forces that we should not be distracted in any way," he said. Thapaliya informed that he has requested the government to immediately arrest the person involved in the incident that took place in some places during the April 12 election and start the process of action.
