TU warns teachers against participating in elections

Tribhuvan University has warned its teachers and staff that they will take action if they participate in political party elections.

The staff publication division of Tribhuvan University has warned of departmental action, stating that news has come that the staff and teachers of the university have participated in the general conventions and legislative conventions of the political parties.

The branch reminded that there is a provision of candidates in the political election regarding the teaching and staff service of the university and warned to take action if found doing so.

To become a candidate from any party, one must have to be nominated 15 days before the day of registration.

Earlier, during the Nepali Congress General Convention, the Supreme Court had also ordered to stop the teachers from voting.
