Two people died in the course of cleaning a well in Dang. Police identified the deceased as Mukesh BK, 16 and Ram Bahadur Nepali, 38, of Damargaun of Tulsipur Sub Metropolitan City -13.
According to the Area Police Office, Tulsipur's Deputy Superintendent of Police, Thakur Prasad Pokhrel, they both entered the well at around 10:00 am today. Later locals noticed them unconscious and sought help from the police. Promptly after the report, a security squad led by Assistant Inspector of Police, Anand Hitang, reached the site.
It was followed by the mobilization of an eight-member team led by Police Inspector Dam Prasad Shrestha. Additionally, a Nepali Army team from the Ambapur Base Camp was deployed to retrieve them from the well.
Though they were rushed to the Tulsipur-based Rapti Provincial Hospital, they were pronounced dead by a medical team later, according to the police.
