The Nepali Embassy in London has stated on Monday that payment of all service charges will be collected only from bank cards from Wednesday, January 26.

It is mentioned in the notice that the revenue amount for all services provided by the embassy will now be collected through bank cards (Visa Debit-Credit, MasterCard Debit-Credit, all Maestro Cards).

Earlier, the embassy used to charge only cash for services including passports and visas. Acting Ambassador Roshan Khanal said that the card payment has been implemented due to the complaints of the service recipients that they have to deal with the hassle.

According to the embassy, the new system is being introduced in the UK where all financial transactions can be done through cards and work can be done quickly.
