Voters will be able to cast their votes based on evidence other than voter identity cards in the local-level election to be held on Friday.

According to Election Commission Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel, arrangements have been made for voting based on a voter identity card or Nepali citizenship certificate, national identity card, passport, or land ownership certificate.

Spokesperson Poudel said that instructions have been sent to the concerned election officers to make arrangements for voting by confirming the final voter list details.

An arrangement has been made for women voters to bring a minor up to 5 years with them while voting. Similarly, family members of the same household who have come for the assistance of blind or physically challenged voters will only be allowed to enter the polling station.

A person who has consumed alcohol will not be allowed to enter the polling station even if he is a voter.

Mobile cameras and photography materials are prohibited inside the polling station. It is forbidden to carry matches, lighters, acid substances, and any kind of weapon.

Similarly, carrying sample ballot papers and symbols of any political party and candidate is prohibited.
