Woman arrested for murder of husband's second wife

Police have arrested a woman in Baitadi on charges of murder. Naru Mahara, 55, of Mallagaun in Dogadakedar Municipality-2 has been arrested.

Mahara was arrested on the charge of murdering her husband's second wife, Chandra Mahara, 40, said Patan Area Police Office Chief Inspector Rajesh Shahi. Naru was arrested on the basis of a complaint filed by Chandra's relatives. According to Shahi, the arrested has confessed to killing Chandra during her statement.

Police have started further investigation into the incident. Chandra was found dead in a deserted house near her house on February 1. She had injuries on his neck and face. It has been revealed from the police investigation that Naru used to beat Chandra repeatedly even before the incident.
