The CPN (Maoist Center) has celebrated the 27th 'People's War Day' by organizing various programs today. The Madhesh state government is celebrating the day by organizing a special program in the state capital Janakpur today. Today marks the 27th People's War Day to commemorate the day the Maoists declared armed struggle on Feb 13, 1995. To commemorate the day, the Maoists organized a program at the party's central office in Parisdanda today.

Addressing the program, CPN (MC) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' said that the new constitution was successful due to the people's war and people's movement creating new unity and the federal democratic republic was institutionalized by maintaining new national unity. He urged all the state governments and the federal government to celebrate the People's War Day.

He noted that the new political transformation and unity had been disliked by some groups and individuals from the very beginning and that its traces were still visible. He said that some people have been working day and night on strengthening the Maoist leaders and cadres.

Stating that the changes gained from the people's war might be weakened, efforts are being made to weaken the movement for independence and nationalism.

He called upon all the revolutionary forces to move forward by maintaining new unity with vigor and urged everyone to stand against the tendency of opposing forces trying to take the country into a whirlpool of political crisis. Stating that regression was defeated last year with the conscious initiative of the people, he expressed concern that efforts were being made to break the anti-regression alliance. Chairman Prachanda expressed confidence that the cooperation started with the aim of defending the constitution and promoting nationalism would continue.

Stating that the five-party alliance was not formed on the basis of any project or agreement, he clarified that it would be in the interest of the country and the people to be committed to the promotion of nationality and defense of democracy. He said that if one thinks about the fate and future of the alliance on the basis of whether or not to do a particular project, it will not be good for the country and the people.

He further added that there was false propaganda that he had postponed the meeting of the House of Representatives under the federal parliament. He lamented that false propaganda was being spread with wrong intentions. In a different context, he called upon all the revolutionary leftist forces, Maoist elements, and patriots to move forward on the path of unity and cooperation.
