CPN-UML to send letters seeking clarification from 12 former lawmakers today

The CPN-UML will be sending a letter to 12 of its lawmakers today seeking their clarifications. Of the 23 lawmakers of the now-dissolved House of Representatives (HoR) who had stood in support of the opposition parties the party will be sending letters seeking clarifications from 12 of them as per a decision made by the Standing Committee, informed SherBahadurTamang, Secretary of the CPN-UML’s Central Office.

The Standing Committee meeting held on Monday had decided to expel 11 of its lawmakers from the party and seek clarifications from the remaining 12. Though the decision to seek clarifications was taken by the Standing Committee on Monday the letters will be sent today as it took some time to prepare the letters, mentioned Tamang.

The 12 lawmakers from whom the party will be seeking clarifications are SurendraPandey, BirodhKhatiwada, Jeevan Ram Shrestha, GhanashyamBhusal, Som Prasad Pandey, Krishna LalMaharjan, JhapatRawal, Bhawani Prasad Khapung, YagyaSunuwar, MetmaniChaudhary, Deepak PrakashBhatta, and Narayan Khatiwada.
