Five-party ruling alliance on Sunday held discussions with the law secretary, the attorney general, and some lawyers close to the ruling parties. During the discussion, they suggested amending the law so that local level elections would be held within six months of the expiration of the term as per the constitution.
Coalition leaders were interested in deciding which term to start as elections were held in three phases.
