Dil Prasad Rai of CPN-UML has won the local level election of Belbari Municipality of Morang by getting 16,422 votes.
According to the State Election Office, Biratnagar, his nearest rival Mahendra Prasad Subedi of the Nepali Congress has received 15,620 votes.
Congress' Nitu Thapa has won the Deputy Chief by getting 13,731 votes while his nearest rival Til Kumari Neupane of UML has got 13,605 votes. Congress has won in wards nos. 1, 4, 6, 9, 10 and 11, UML has won in wards 2, 35 and 7 and independent candidates have won in ward no. 8.
