Subedi's candidacy for post of Chief of Bharatpur Municipal Corporation

The Bharatpur Metropolitan Committee has recommended Vijay Subedi's single name to the district committee.

According to CPN (UML) Bharatpur Metropolitan Committee Chairman Shankar Thapaliya, Subedi's name was unanimously recommended in the meeting of the Metropolitan Committee held today with the support of UML Politburo Member and Chitwan District In-Charge Devi Gyawali and MP and UML leader Krishna Bhakta Pokhrel.

UML district president Ram Prasad Neupane said that only one name would be sent to the state committee as only one name was recommended from the metropolis. The center will decide the candidate on the basis of the recommendation received by the central committee through the provincial committee.

Subedi has been the party chief (secretary) for two terms in Chitwan. He is currently the party's Bagmati state secretary. Subedi is a member of the Bagmati Provincial Assembly from Chitwan Constituency No. 2 (b) within the Bharatpur metropolis.

He was the Minister of Social Development when Ashtalakshmi Shakya was the Chief Minister of Bagmati Pradesh. Subedi is a permanent resident of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-12. The work done by him when he was the chairman of Bharatpur Hospital Development Committee is commendable.
