Subas Chandra Nembang, senior leader of CPN UML, has said that the verdict issued by the Supreme Court today to reinstate the House of Representatives and appoint Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba as prime minister is wrong but the party will abide by the court’s decision.

He mentioned that the party would abide by the Supreme Court’s verdict as CPN UML is a party that believes in the constitution and democratic values and principles.

Nembang added there was no reason to agree with the apex court’s decision. However, being a major political party of the country that follows the constitution and democratic practices the party would accept the decision even though it was a wrong one, he stated.

Meanwhile, he mentioned that the Supreme Court’s decision had raised a serious question on the constitution, and constitutional and parliamentary practices.
