In the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly member elections, teachers and school staff will be assigned to polling stations only if other government employees are unavailable.

The House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly Member Election (Manpower Management) (First Amendment) Guidelines, 2059 allow for the appointment of teachers and school staff only if the union, state, and local levels are insufficient.

According to the rules for assigning staff to polling stations in the directory, if there are not enough staff from the Nepal government, provincial government, or local level employees or institutions owned or controlled by the Nepal government or provincial government or under the grant of the Nepal government or provincial government, university or community school teachers or staff will be appointed.

Similarly, when university or community school teachers are assigned to polling places, it has been mandated that government employees be included.
