The major opposition CPN UML continued obstruction at the meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) today too. The UML lawmakers picketed rostrum and chanted slogans immediately after the meeting began.

In the meeting, Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota requested the opposition party lawmakers not to obstruct the parliament but participate in the regular business and put forth their views. The issues under consideration at court can not be discussed at parliament, he reminded.

However, amidst obstruction, Minister for Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki, presented the annual report of the National Dalit Commission, 2076/77 on behalf of Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba.

The HoR meeting will be held next on October 8.
