Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center) Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said that the parties are focused on finding a solution to national problems without breaking the current ruling coalition.

Speaking at a program organized by the Nepal Dalit Mukti Morcha today on the occasion of Memorial Day and Martyrs' Week of Dil Bahadur Ramtel, the first martyr of the People's War, he said that they were looking for ways to save the alliance and solve the MCC problem.

"The situation is now such that the MCC issue may break the alliance and regressive forces may prevail again," he said. We have to stop that," said Dahal, who is also a former prime minister.

Stating that the move to dissolve the people's representative body by trampling on the constitution was a regression, he said, the alliance was formed for the defense of the constitution, republic and nationality. "After defeating regression, we are trying to manage the rights of the oppressed class, region and community by creating a common minimum program through the coalition," he said.

Chairman Dahal said that the achievements earned through the struggle of the people were being exercised." For some time now, we have seen the achievements of the people's war and the positive changes made by the Constituent Assembly being reverted by regressive forces," he said.

President Dahal said that millions of people had taken to the streets to protest against the constitution, the republic, the tendency to seek the rights of all oppressed classes, regions and communities. He stressed the need to have a strong resolve and not to lose the achievements and move forward united for further achievements.
