SAFF U-17: Nepal won the group after defeating India 3-1

Nepal has defeated India in SAFF Championship football under 17 years. Nepal defeated India by three goals to one in the match held at the race course ground in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Saraj Darlami, Unesh Budathaeki and Subas Bam scored one goal each in Nepal's victory. Danny Methi scored for India. Nepal made an excellent comeback when they were trailing by one-zero.

With this victory, Nepal become the group winner in group 'B' with 6 points in two games, while India  become the runner-up with three points in two games. Both teams have entered the semi-finals.

Earlier, Nepal defeated Bhutan by two goals in the first match. India also defeated Bhutan by three-nil. Bhutan, who lost both games, is out of the competition.


 In the second match today, Sri Lanka and Maldives will play in the evening. Now Nepal play a match between Sri Lanka or Maldives in the semi-final on Monday with Wije Sangata. After winning, Nepal compete for the title on Wednesday.

On the other hand, India, who became the runner-up in the group, will play against Bangladesh, the winner of Group A, in the semi-finals on Monday.
