The former captain of Nepali national cricket team Sandeep Lamichhane has gone to Kirtipur cricket ground for training today after a long time. He was in prison on the charge of raping a minor and is currently released on bail, but his case is yet to be finalized.
Sandeep was released from suspension by the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) at a meeting held in Pokhara. Based on that, the selection committee has included him in the training of the national team.
Meanwhile, there will be a demonstration tomorrow at Maiti Ghar in Kathmandu in protest against the suspension of Sandeep accused of rape and his return to the national team.
