Climbers from Ukraine and Russia climb Mt. Everest

Keeping their differences aside, Ukrainian and Russian climbers summit Everest

Despite Russia and Ukraine being at war, climbers from these two countries have given a message of reconciliation to the world from Nepal. Although two climbers from Russia and Ukraine were on different climbing teams, they have managed to convey this message by climbing Everest together. This opportunity was provided by Nepal's Seven Summit Treks for the climbers to climb Mt. Everest.

According to the Seven Summit Treks Sagarmatha (Everest) Expedition 2022, Antonina Samoilova of Ukraine and Raul Andres Biochi Torres of Russia reached the summit of Mount Everest today. The team consisted of 16 climbers from Oman, India, Colombia, USA, Japan, Mexico, United Kingdom, Switzerland, Colombia, Israel and Malaysia. Among them were two climbers from India, USA, Colombia and Malaysia.


Successful climbers include Suleiman AL Naabi of Oman, Jatin Ramsinh Chaudhary and Prakriti Varshney of India, Stanislovas Vysniauskas and Raul Andres Biochi Torres of Colombia, Hedayet Ali of America, Lucy Westlake and Tomoya Ikeda of Japan, Pablo Cesar Perez of Mexico, John Edward Haskew of the United Kingdom, Mueller Heinz Anton of Switzerland, Valle Arrue Alfa Karina of Israel and Ravichandran Tharumalingam of Malaysia and Elanghovan Natchimuthu.


23 Nepali climbers in the same team have also achieved success. These Nepali climbers are Dorchi Bhote, Dawa Bhote, Pema Rinjee Sherpa, Ringee Bhote, Mingma Dorchi Sherpa, Pema Chombi Sherpa, Pemba Thinduk Sherpa, Mingma Tenje Sherpa, Ridar Bhote, Mingma Chhiri Sherpa, Pasang Sherpa, Mingma Nurbu Sherpa, Fursang Sherpa, Lakpa Tenjing Sherpa, Pasang Dukpa Sherpa, Jen Jen Lama, Phurthile Sherpa, Mingma Tenjing Sherpa, Phurba Ongdi Sherpa, Ngawang Thinduk Sherpa, Manish Maharjan and Renji Sherpa.
