The need to develop Damauli in Tanahun, the birthplace of Vyas, as a religious and cultural tourist center has been pointed out. Tourists of religious faith can be attracted to Damauli area of religious and cultural importance with Vyas and Parashar caves on the Prithvi Highway road to Pokhara, the country's major tourist destination. For that, it has been pointed out that there is a need to publicize this area, which is the birthplace of Vyasa and the birthplace of Sage Parashar, Manungkot and surrounding natural, cultural and religious places.

There are many religious and tourist destinations worth visiting in Damauli. But tourists have not yet been able to be attracted here. Local residents say that the environment for domestic and foreign tourists going from the tourist city of Bandipur to Pokhara, the capital of the state, has not been created in this area.

Manungkot, where Damauli market is visible, is a famous place among the tourist destinations here. Thousands of tourists came here in one day due to the lockdown of Covid-19. The fog seen from Manungkot and the Himalayas seen in the background of the Madi River flowing through cascading hills are the additional attractions here.
